The Perkins High School Drama Club will present "The Wizard of Oz" this week. It's a familiar tale of young Dorothy and her three friends – Tin Man, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion – who follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. Along the way, they encounter the Wicked Witch, Glinda the Good Witch, and a bunch of Munchkins.
Kendell Hvizdos leads the PHS cast as Dorothy, Jaden Lyons as the Lion, Zoe Tomasula as Tin Man, and Karma Hairston as Scarecrow. Lo Bucher plays Glinda, the good Witch, and Katelynn Troyer plays the Wicked Witch, and Nicholas Coiffard plays the Wizard.
The musical opens at 7 p.m. on Thursday, and continues at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Tickets for the show are $10 each and available online.
