PHS To Perform 'Guys and Dolls' For Spring Musical

For the 2024 Perkins High School spring musical, the cast and crew are putting their touches on the 1950 Broadway classic “Guys and Dolls.”

The musical is set in New York City during the turbulent 1930s when gangsters and gamblers ran the city. The story follows the love affair between lead characters missionary Sarah Brown, played by PHS sophomore Anabelle Wadsworth, and gambler Sky Masterson, played by sophomore Nicholas Coiffard.

Supporting cast members include sophomore Jeremiah Meadows, who plays gambler Nathan Detroit, junior Chloe Carr, who plays nightclub performer Miss Adelaide, junior Mariana Bollini, as Ruth Abernathy, Jayen Lyons as Benny Southstreet and Chris Boyd as Nicely Nicely.

The show is directed by musical advisor Marilyn Forster and assistant director Noah Henderson. The show is choreographed by Pam Shirtz, the music director is Randy Gernovich, and musical conductor is Chris Zanella. 

The musical opens at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, and Friday, March 15, and concludes with a matinée at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. Tickets for the show are $10 and available via Perkins Schools online box office and at the door.
