PHS Aquatones To Present 'Aladdin'

The Aquatones will present their take on the Disney classic “Aladdin” this week in the Perkins High School natatorium.

The synchronized swimming troupe’s show opens at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, and runs nightly through Saturday, March 21.

The cast is led by PHS seniors Ella West, who plays Aladdin, Brianne Bucher as Jasmine, Ady West as the Sultan, and Anna Ferback as Jafar. Freshman Sarah West plays the Genie. The cast also includes girls from PHS and Briar Middle School.

The show is directed by first-year Aquatones advisor Lily Gross, who graduated from PHS in 2020 and was a participant in the club throughout her time in high school.

“Aladdin” is the story of a kind-hearted street urchin, Aladdin, who falls in love with Princess Jasmine. After sorcer Jafar tricks Aladdin into retrieving a magical lamp, the story’s hero unleashes the Genie, who helps him pose as a prince to win over Jasmine.

Tickets for the show are $8 for adults and $6 for students, and are available at the door.
